Workshop takes place on the 15th and 16th of November 2014, 10:30 - 5pm day one and 11am - 4pm day two.

Led by artist Jonathan Kemp, participants in this workshop will construct an experimental circuit to act between the Earth and human psyche for the weak geomagnetic stimulation of the brain. The circuit will then be collectively tested in Epping Forest.

On Day One, participants will each construct a DIY electronic circuit to modulate telluric signals from two 20m-spaced copper electrodes. For each electrode, copper sulphate noise reduction gels will then be made in small unglazed clay pots for later burial on the second day's field trip to Epping Forest.

On Day Two we will go to Epping Forest to collectively use the circuits. Buffered electrodes will be buried into the Earth, following a North-South axis, and the amplified telluric signals sent, via the circuits, to small fragments of metallic rock, wrapped with thin insulated copper wire. These crude solenoids will be secured in headbands to the subjects' head, to modulate intra-hemisphere brain activity through the interplay of weak electromagnetic fields across the occipital and temporal lobes.

We will use a small portable PA to test the signal, and you are able to take the circuit away with you for future use.

The project is part of the psychogeophysics project, please see http://www.psychogeophysics.org/wiki/doku.php?id=wikipedia For more information on Jonathan Kemp please see http://xxn.org.uk

A short introduction on day one will briefly cover the theory of the effects on the human psyche by weak geo-electromagnetic fields, from which this project has developed. This will include a demonstration of a synthetic electronic variant of the amplifier/helmet configuration worn:

Saturday November 15th, 10am - 4pm at no.where: Introduction and circuit construction.
Sunday November 16th, 10.30am onwards. Loughton Tube station: field trip to test circuits in Epping Forest.

This workshop is strictly limited to 10 participants - book early to avoid disappointment!
